Hôpital Femme Mère Enfant

L’hôpital Femme-Mère-Enfant est un des pôles du centre hospitalier universitaire de Lyon. Rattaché au groupement Est des HCL, il est situé à Bron.

Construit selon les plans d'Adrien Fainsilber1 dans une volonté de créer une unique structure liée à l'enfance, l'hôpital, ouvert en 2008, regroupe toutes les activités de gynécologie-obstétrique, néonatalogie, médecine et chirurgie pédiatriques des hospices de Lyon. Les urgences pédiatriques y sont également transférées.

Parfois qualifié d'« usine à bébés » et de « mastodonte architectural »3 il compte plus de 400 lits sur neuf niveaux et voit naître 4 000 enfants par an ; plus de 2 000 personnes y travaillent.
