Dr. Hadjipanayis is considered a neuro-oncology leader in the therapy and surgical management of brain tumors. He is the Director of the Mount Sinai Brain Tumor Nanotechnology Laboratory in the Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai where he studies the targeted imaging and therapy of malignant gliomas with different nanoparticle constructs in combination with standard therapies. He is also the IND holder and Sponsor of a multicenter Phase II clinical trial studying the use of 5-ALA (Gliolan) and fluorescence-guided (FGS) surgery for the resection of malignant g liomas in the US.
