Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt Indications
- Communicating or non-communicating hydrocephalus
- Normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH)
- Post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus
- Post-infectious hydrocephalus
- Congenital causes (e.g., aqueductal stenosis, Dandy-Walker)
- Neoplastic or structural CSF flow obstruction
