Traumatic brain injury cases from the General University Hospital of Alicante

A 91-year-old woman with a history of dyslipidemia (DLP) and Parkinson's disease.

Accidental Fall-Related Traumatic Brain Injury in a public place, according to witnesses. She has complete amnesia of the episode, and her accompanying family members did not witness it. She reports pain in the right clavicle, and a fracture has been ruled out in the emergency department.

Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) 15 without focal deficits.



Admitted for mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) with minimal traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (HSA). During her stay, she has shown favorable progress. Pain is well-controlled with the prescribed analgesics. She is ambulating on the ward without incident. A follow-up cranial CT scan showed no complications. She is afebrile and tolerates oral intake adequately.
