Thalamic peduncle
Thalamic peduncles, or radiations, are a large bundle of fan-like fibers connecting the thalamus and cortex, and well-described in both human and monkey brains.
Components
Based on the connected cortical area, thalamic peduncles are commonly divided into five components: the anterior, superior, lateral (or extracapsular), posterior, and Inferior Thalamic peduncle.
