Terminal vein of the periventricular region
Vein that drains blood from the periventricular white matter into the internal cerebral vein. It is an important anatomical structure involved in the regulation of cerebral blood flow and the maintenance of brain homeostasis. Damage or injury to the terminal vein of the periventricular region can result in various neurological disorders, such as periventricular leukomalacia and cerebral palsy.
