T2 relaxometry

T2 relaxometry is a quantitative MR imaging modality that provides an estimate of the T2 relaxation constant of the imaged tissue. T2 can be altered due to cell damage, with increased T2 relaxation time arising from higher fluid content and potential pathology in the brain in both grey and white matter.
