Sinus pericranii case reports
2019
Pulsating lid: a rare presentation of sinus pericranii 1).
A 40-year-old man with a scalp mass was admitted to the hospital complaining of headache. The lesion enlarged when the patient was in a recumbent position or during Valsalva maneuver. The radiologic imaging suggested its diagnosis as an accessory type of SP with bone erosion. Surgical resection and cranioplasty were successfully performed, and the related headache also gradually subsided. At the 3-year follow-up, there was no recurrence on magnetic resonance imaging 2).
2017
A 2-year-old male with achondroplasia, Sinus pericranii (SP), and craniocervical junction stenosis. The latter two defects required surgical correction. SP is an underappreciated malformation that Scott et al. propose may be induced by intracranial hypertension. This case appears to be the first report of this condition in achondroplasia 3).
1995
Cerqueira et al describe 2 cases of congenital sinus pericranii associated with intracranial venous anomalies. After a review of the literature concerning this association they consider the possible etiopathogenic mechanisms and treatment implications 4).
1951
Radiographic images of a case of sinus pericranii 5).
1948
Cavernous hemangioma of the frontal bone with report of a case of sinus pericranii 6)
1946
A contribution to the study of sinus pericranii (Stromeyer); report of case with some comments on pathology of the lesion 7).
