Patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage who subsequently developed diarrhea had significantly increased odds of developing Delayed ischemic neurologic deficit. Enteral volume loss due to osmotic laxative use is a potential risk factor for Delayed ischemic neurologic deficit after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage 1).
