Ophthalmic nerve (V1)

One of the three branches of the trigeminal nerve.

The ophthalmic nerve carries only sensory fibers.

The supraorbital nerve and supratrochlear nerves arise from the frontal nerve and are 2 of the 5 branches of V1 (ophthalmic division of the trigeminal nerve).
