In October 2019, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Oxford University Press announced an addition to the Neurosurgery Journals Publications suite of journals, Neurosurgery Open. Neurosurgery Open is a fully Open Access (OA), online-only journal publishing articles under the CC-BY-NC license, unless an alternative is required by a funding body. Publication is paid for through the article processing charges required by the OA license. Neurosurgery Open will provide a high-quality, fully OA platform for the neurosurgical community through which to share its research globally.
Goal
The goal is to provide an outlet for the publication of scientific papers dealing with clinical neurosurgery and experimental neurosurgery, such as case series, case reports, and other information of interest to neurosurgeons.
All authors should consult the EQUATOR Network website, which maintains a useful, up-to-date list of guidelines as they are published, with links to articles and checklists.
