The European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ESPN) seeks to promote the health of children in Europe and throughout the world by encouraging the ethical transmission and exchange of neuroscientific information and techniques related to Pediatric Neurosurgery.
The Society organizes courses and meetings. The post-graduation course is held every year, covering all the specialties of pediatric Neurosurgery in 3 years cycles.
The congress of the society is organised every two years by the president.
History
The Society was founded in 1967 on the occasion of the first European Congress of Pediatric Neurosurgery held in Vienna, Austria. It is the oldest international Society dedicated to the neurosurgery of the developing nervous system.
