Dopamine overdose hypothesis

Posits that the excess of exogenous dopamine in the frontal cortical regions can impair cognition.

Findings demonstrate dopamine-related dissociation in brain activation between cortical and subcortical regions, and provide novel support for the dopamine overdose hypothesis 1).
