Cervical spine surgery length of stay

When patients are undergoing spine surgery, the length of stay variable is critical from the patient’s point of view and is a major factor in determining healthcare expenditure. It is estimated that each additional day in the hospital costs approximately 1000 USD 1) and inpatient hospital expenditures (excluding instrumentation and surgical procedures) strongly correlate with the length of stay 2)
