drip chamber falls to floor:

a) overdrainage, possible seizures and/or subdural hematoma formation

b) solution: securely tape chamber to pole, bed-rail…, check position regularly.ç

Lobar hemorrhage at site remote from craniotomy. In a series of 37 patients, unlike hematomas at the craniotomy site, the following were identified as not being related to risk of hemorrhage: HTN, coagulopathy, CSF drainage, underlying occult lesion following drainage of chronic SDH , and cerebellar hemorrhage following pterional craniotomy 1) (this author incriminated possibly rapid overdrainage of CSF), or following temporal lobectomy 2).
