Ceftaroline

Results suggest that the antibacterial activity of both ceftaroline and vancomycin are similar in the treatment of MRSA meningitis in an experimental rabbit meningitis model. ¹⁾.

Roujansky et al. observed than even in the case of mild meningeal inflammation, ceftaroline penetration in CSF, although moderate, enabled efficient bacterial clearance and clinical efficacy, in adjunction to correct ventriculoperitoneal shunt management. ²⁾.
