Adhesive Drape

A sterile surgical drape with an adhesive edge or surface, designed to stick to the patient’s skin or surrounding area to maintain a sterile field and reduce the risk of contamination during surgery.

Use in context: Adhesive drapes are commonly used in neurosurgery to isolate the operative field.

Some studies question whether adhesive drapes reduce surgical site infections more effectively than standard draping.
