Internal carotid artery aneurysm classification

Nurminen et al. identified all consecutive patients with internal carotid artery aneurysms that were treated with flow-diverter stents and divided the aneurysms into two anatomic subgroups (cavernous and supraclinoid segments) 1).

Cavernous Internal Carotid Artery Aneurysm

Cavernous Internal Carotid Artery Aneurysm

Supraclinoid

Internal carotid artery bifurcation aneurysm.

Internal carotid artery ophthalmic artery aneurysm.

Paraclinoid internal carotid artery aneurysm.

Posterior communicating artery aneurysm.
