**Definition:**  
Tractability refers to the **ease with which something can be managed, controlled, or solved**. It is a general term used across disciplines, from computational theory to clinical practice.

**In medical or interventional contexts:**  
Although not commonly used in device descriptions, tractability can refer to a system's or technique’s **responsiveness to manipulation or intervention**. However, more specific terms such as [[trackability]], [[steerability]], or [[navigability]] are usually preferred.

**In computational sciences:**  
A problem is considered "tractable" if it can be **solved efficiently using available algorithms**, typically within polynomial time.
