A pseudoarticulation (or pseudoarthrosis) refers to an abnormal joint-like connection between two bones that are not normally connected by a synovial joint. It mimics a true joint in appearance or function but lacks the structural characteristics of a normal anatomical joint, such as cartilage-lined surfaces and a true joint capsule.
