Emergency myelogram

indicated if MRI cannot be done(include possible C1–2 puncture on the consent). Start with a so-called “blockogram” to R/O complete block: instill small volume of contrast, e.g. iohexol (OmnipaqueTM) via LP and run the dye all the way up the spinal column; CSF is usually xanthochromic with complete block, see Froin’s syndrome
