Dissection

Dissection maneuvers can be divided into two types: sharp dissection with microscissors and blunt dissection using a dissector.

Dissection is a blister-like de-lamination between the outer and inner walls of a blood vessel, generally originating with a partial leak in the inner lining.

Sylvian dissection.

Pure fusiform aneurysms without dissection are considered to have a low risk of rupture. Furthermore, aneurysm wall with atherosclerotic change tends to be less susceptible to rupture.
