Descending transtentorial herniation, more frequently known as uncal herniation.

Descending transtentorial herniation (DTH) is the second most common type of cerebral hernia. It occurs when brain tissue is displaced downward through the tentorial notch. DTH may be divided into two types: lateral (anterior and posterior) and central hernias. Lateral hernias involve the medial temporal lobe.
