Brain

The brain is the central organ of the human nervous system, enclosed within the skull and responsible for processing sensory information, controlling bodily functions, coordinating movement, and enabling cognitive activities such as thought, emotion, memory, and language. It works in close coordination with the spinal cord as part of the central nervous system (CNS).

Structurally, the brain consists of several main parts:

Cerebrum: Responsible for higher cognitive functions and voluntary movement.

Cerebellum: Coordinates balance and fine motor control.

Brainstem: Regulates vital functions such as breathing, heart rate, and consciousness.

Functionally, the brain contains billions of neurons and glial cells organized into complex networks, allowing it to receive input, interpret signals, make decisions, and produce appropriate responses.
