X-linked intellectual disability

X-linked intellectual disability (XLID) is the most extensively studied genetic phenomenon involving the human central nervous system. Over 150 X-linked syndromes in which intellectual disability and neuromuscular, somatic, metabolic, or behavioral manifestations occur have been described 1).
