Weston-Hurst syndrome is an exceptional variant of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) characterized by brain hemorrhages. Lesions are usually supratentorial and death is a usual outcome. Bonduelle et al. from the Department of Neurology, Bordeaux University Hospital, Neurosurgery, Clinique Navarre, Pau, France, report a cerebellar Weston-Hurst syndrome early treated by craniectomy, steroids and plasma exchange. This is the first case of infratentorial Weston-Hurst syndrome associated with a favorable outcome 1).
