The Scandinavian Neurotrauma Committee (SNC) was founded in 1998 after an initiative from the Scandinavian Neurosurgical Society. The committee is comprised of dedicated neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, and neuroanesthesiologists from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The SNC is independent of industry funding and members are supported by their respective institutions.
The first Nordic Neurotrauma Conference was held in Lund, Sweden, November 13-15th 2017.
The SNC has published several guidelines for the management of traumatic brain injury. The book “Management of severe traumatic brain injury” was published in 2012.
