Intraventricular ependymoma

Clinical features

The most consistent neurological problem associated with lateral ventricle tumors, including ependymomas, is cognitive impairment associated with hydrocephalus.

If the tumor is present at a critical site for CSF flow, acute obstructive hydrocephalus and sudden death may occur.
