Global life expectancy

According to a rise of global life expectancy, especially in the last two decades 1), the prevalence of diseases associated with neurodegenerative processes is increasing. In 2010, the estimated number of people living with dementia worldwide was 35.6 million and this number is expected to rise to 65.7 million by 2030 2).
