A *Chronic Subdural Hematoma (CSDH)* is a collection of blood and its breakdown products located between the dura mater and the arachnoid mater of the brain, typically developing over weeks following minor head trauma or spontaneously in vulnerable individuals.

• Chronic = Symptoms and hematoma develop ≥3 weeks after the initial bleeding event.
• Often preceded by acute or subacute bleeding that becomes encapsulated and liquefied over time.
