Intraoperative navigation in combination with modern imaging systems leads to very high accuracy for pedicle screws. Stable vertebral body fractures without the involvement of the spinal canal can also be treated conservatively with orthotic devices. Randomized controlled studies are required to develop a secure state of evidence and are currently not available ²⁾.
