Angiolipomas are benign, slow growing lesions, almost always located subcutaneously in the trunc or limbs. They are composed of mature lipocytes admixed with abnormal blood vessels.
Angiolipomas (AL) are tumors of mesenchymal origin including abnormal vasculature and developed (mature) adipose tissue. Typically, they arise in the subcutaneous tissue of the extremities.
Usually, CNS angiolipomas are found in the extradural parts of the spine.
