Dr. Walter Jean is a [[board]]-[[certified]] neurosurgeon with [[expertise]] in complex [[intracranial surgery]]. He is [[Professor]] of [[Neurological Surgery]] at [[George Washington University Hospital]]. With more than 15 years’ experience in both open and endoscopic skull base surgery, he has several clinical interests including [[acoustic neuroma]]s, [[pituitary neuroendocrine tumor]]s, [[skull base meningioma]], [[intraventricular tumor]]s, and [[trigeminal neuralgia]]. Dr. Jean received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and went on to complete his neurosurgical [[training]] at the University of [[Minnesota]]. His final training post was at the University of [[Cincinnati]] as fellow in [[Skull Base Surgery]]. Dr. Jean earned his credentials in medical education during his 7-year tenure as Program Director of the Georgetown University Neurosurgery Residency Program.
