=====Thalamopeduncular syndrome===== The thalamopeduncular syndrome is a common clinical presentation exhibited by [[children]] harboring a lesion at the interface between the [[thalamus]] and [[cerebral peduncle]]. This subclassification was introduced by Puget et al ((Puget S, Crimmins DW, Garnett MR, Grill J, Oliveira R, Boddaert N, et al. Thalamic tumors in children: a reappraisal. J Neurosurg. 2007;106 (5 Suppl):354–362. )) in an effort to better describe [[thalamic tumor]]s of [[childhood]]. However, these lesions have also been designated as “[[basal ganglia]],” “[[brainstem tumor]],” or “[[thalamic tumor]]” tumors by other authors, specifically focal midbrain gliomas arising from the [[tegmentum]].
