====== Pediatric diffuse astrocytoma ======

In pediatric [[diffuse astrocytoma]]s (age < 20 years), most of the molecular markers differ from their adult counterparts: [[IDH mutation]]s and [[TP53]] & [[ATRX]] mutations are not present, and mutation of 
[[H3K27M]] can occur as in high-grade pediatric gliomas. Markers are also dependent on tumor location. Unlike their adult counterpart, these tumors rarely undergo malignant degeneration
