Lateral [[sphenoid wing meningioma]] or [[pterional meningioma]] is a type of [[intracranial meningioma]] that arises from the [[pterion]] and typically grows along the [[Sylvian fissure]].

Behavior and treatment are usually similar to [[convexity meningioma]].

===== Clinical features =====


Common symptoms associated with lateral sphenoid wing meningiomas may include:

[[Headache]]s: Often severe and persistent.

[[Vision]] Problems: Such as [[blurred vision]], double vision ([[diplopia]]), or loss of peripheral vision.

[[Seizure]]s: Especially if the tumor irritates the brain tissue.
