====== Immune targeting ======

A critical concept underlying [[immunotherapy]] is that, while [[vaccine]]s target tumor [[antigen]]s and immune checkpoint antagonists target molecules expressed by tumor cells or other cells within the [[tumor microenvironment]], the ultimate end-effector and therapeutic target of cancer immunotherapy is the tumor-specific T cell.
