====== Frontal bossing ======

The protuberance of the [[frontal bone]]. Forehead appears prominent. May be associated with an exaggerated brow ridge.

Etiologies include:

1. hydrocephalus in a young child

2. acromegaly 

3. fibrous dysplasia 

4. extramedullary hematopoiesis 

5. [[achondroplasia]]

6. Hurler syndrome
