In a series of 37 patients, unlike hematomas at the craniotomy site, the following were identified as not being related to risk of hemorrhage: HTN, coagulopathy, CSF drainage, underlying occult lesion following drainage of chronic SDH , and cerebellar hemorrhage following pterional craniotomy ((Papanastassiou V, Kerr R, Adams C.
