====== Cefotaxime ======

Current [[recommendation]]s for the empirical treatment of central nervous system (CNS) infection in the presence of a shunt recommend using IV [[vancomycin]] in combination with an agent that has adequate gram-negative coverage, such as [[cefepime]], [[ceftazidime]], [[cefotaxime]], or [[meropenem]].
