====== CD147 ======

The CD147 [[protein]] is a ubiquitous multifunctional [[membrane receptor]]. Expression of CD147, which is regulated by sterol carrier protein, reportedly modulates [[amyloid beta]] (Aβ), the neurotoxic [[peptide]] implicated in neuronal degeneration in [[Alzheimer disease]] (AD).
