====== Breast cancer classification ======


There is a recognition that [[breast cancer]] is a collection of heterogeneous diseases divided into subtypes based on combined [[molecular]] features such as [[hormone receptor]]s (HR) and [[human epidermal growth factor receptor 2]] ([[HER2]]) status. 

The current molecular classification divides breast cancer into five groups luminal A, luminal B, HER-2, basal and normal breast-like. Further grouping of these subgroups seems possible and necessary.
