Solid tumors may be benign (not cancer), or malignant (cancer). ===== Types ===== Different types of solid tumors are named for the type of cells that form them. Examples of solid tumors are [[sarcoma]]s, [[carcinoma]]s, and [[lymphoma]]s. Leukemias (cancers of the blood) generally do not form solid tumors. ---- [[Pediatric solid tumor]]s are significantly different from adult tumors. Studies have revealed genomic aberrations in pediatric solid tumors, but these analyses were based on Western populations. Currently, it is not known to what extent the existing genomic findings represent differences in ethnic backgrounds. solid_tumor.txt Last modified: 2024/11/21 08:59by 127.0.0.1
