Includes: a) hemorrhage(external or internal) b) bowel obstruction(with third spacing) 2. septic: most often due to gram-negative sepsis 3. cardiogenic: includes MI, cardiomyopathy, dysrhythmias (including A-fib) 4. neurogenic: e.g. paralysis due to [[spinal cord injury]].
