La exposición caudal en los [[abordaje_endonasal_endoscopico_ampliado|abordajes endoscópicos endonasales expandidos]] a la unión craneovertebral está limitada anteriormente por los huesos nasales y posteriormente por el paladar duro.

Es la línea que conecta el hueso nasal y el paladar duro.

El ángulo nasopalatino es el ángulo entre la línea nasopalatina y el plano del paladar duro (de Almeida y col., 2009).

Según Aldana y col., la [[linea_nasoaxial|línea nasoaxial]] predice con mayor precisión el límite inferior del abordaje endoscópico endonasal que la línea nasopalatina o línea de Kassam (Aldana y col., 2012).
