Specifically, in clinical medicine, histopathology refers to the examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen by a pathologist, after the specimen has been processed and histological sections have been placed onto glass slides. In contrast, cytopathology examines free cells or tissue fragments. While histopathology remains the gold standard for tumor classification, [[neuroimaging]] has over the years taken a central role in the diagnosis and treatment follow-up of brain tumors. see [[Neuropathology]] histopathology.txt Last modified: 2024/06/07 02:50by 127.0.0.1
