====== Hematoma epidural de Vertex ======

La fuente del sangrado es cualquiera de los siguientes:

(1) La más freuente es la microrotura del [[seno sagital]]

(2) Desde la propia fractura

(3) Desprendimiento dural de la tabla interna del cráneo

El [[hematoma epidural]] del [[vertex]] representa sólo representa el 8% de todos los hematomas epidurales.

Sin embargo, estas lesiones traumáticas pueden ser subestimadas o pasadas por alto en conjunto cuando se utiliza solo la tomografía computarizada.

Navarro y col. comunica el caso de un traumatismo craneal que desarrolló cefalea progresiva y de dificil tratamiento.

La RM facilitó el diagnóstico de VEH progresivo y destacaba el desplazaminto del seno sagital superior por el hematoma. Tras el tratamiento quirúrgico, hubo una buena recuperación postoperatoria.

Los pacientes con traumatismo múltiple con cefalea progresiva y refractaria a trratamiento analgésico deben someterse a una revisión a fondo de su TC cerebral y, RM si existen dudas
