FINER criteria is a mnemonic used to evaluate research questions or objectives. It stands for:

Feasible - Is the research question feasible? Can it be answered with the available resources (time, funding, personnel, equipment)?

Interesting - Is the research question interesting and relevant? Does it address a significant gap in knowledge or have practical implications?

Novel - Is the research question novel? Does it introduce new concepts, ideas, or approaches to the field?

Ethical - Is the research question ethical? Does it involve human or animal subjects, and if so, is it conducted in an ethical manner?

Relevant - Is the research question relevant? Does it have potential to make a positive contribution to the field of study, society, or policy-making?

By using the FINER criteria, researchers can ensure that their research questions are well-designed and ethically sound, and have the potential to make a meaningful contribution to their field. This can increase the likelihood of obtaining funding, ethical approval, and ultimately, producing valuable research outcomes.
