Dr. David Mato pursuing his medical studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he graduated in 2003. Make the specialty of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital of Bellvitge in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona. During the last years of his residence focuses on treatment by open and endoscopic surgery pathology of the skull base and performs stays at high international prestige to complete their training. In 2008 at the King Edwards Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Atul Goel, and 2009 in the Roosevelt Memorial Hospital in New York, he is supervised by Prof. Dr. Chandranath Sen. Since 2010 works as an assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery - Spine Surgery Unit, assuming coordination of brain endoscopic surgery, with the collaboration of Dr. Benedicto Paternina and Dr. Ignacio Pinto, and endoscopic surgery of the base skull, along with Dr. Sergio Obeso, a member of Otorhinolaryngology. With the intention to deepen the knowledge and practice of endoscopic surgery of the cranial base, along the 2011 he has spent time at the University Hospital Bellaria Bologna under the tutelage of Dr. Giorgio Frank, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with Dr. Fernandez Miranda, both pioneers in the development of the endoscopic technique centers. Since coming to Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital he serves as an instructor at the Virtual Hospital Valdecilla, being responsible for organizing and coordinating courses to learning for endoscopic both cerebral spinal level techniques.
