He was [[Pediatric neurosurgeon]] in the [[Pediatric Neurosurgery]] Policlinico Universitario “Agostino Gemelli”, dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Roma.

Permanent Visiting Professor at [[International Neuroscience Institute]] INI-China in Beijing and the Children's Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago.

Since May 2014, Prof Concezio Di Rocco has moved to Hannover, Germany to become the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the International Neuroscience Institute

Has served as President of the [[International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery]] and the [[European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery]]. 

Chairman of the Pediatric Committee of the [[World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies]].

Together with prof. M. Choux and K. Hovind he founded the Postgraduate Course on Pediatric Neurosurgery which provided a special education in Pediatric Neurosurgery world-wide.

Prof. Di Rocco has written more than 290 articles in scientific journal and contributed with 60 chapters to medical textbooks; his co-edited book Pediatric Neurosurgery, Churchill Livingstone, received the Royal Society of Authors Medical Book Award.

Dr. Di Rocco is a member of the editorial board of a number of national and international journals and from 1985 to 1990 was Editor of Rivista di Neuroscienze Pediatriche Journal of Pediatric Neurosciences. He is also co-editor of the Springer book series Principles of Pediatric Neurosurgery. 

Membre d’Honneur of the Société de Neurochirurgie de Langue Française.
